It's not a visit to the Sydney Royal Easter Show without enjoying some of the CWA's tea and scones! The 2018 tally was 48,559 scones over the 12 day show with the highest day a record 5,124 on Good Friday. Will they serve more in 2019?

Will the sheep get away - or will the team work together to move them form pen to pen? Today all the action came from the Schmidt Arena with the Regional Heats and State Finals of the Young Farmer Challenge! Congratulations to Moree Show Society who will go onto represent NSW at the National Finals in 2020!  What a fabulous few days we have had hosting Coolah Central School as part of the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW’s Youth Group's brand new initiative All Roads to the Royal. The students and teachers of Coolah Central School joined us for three days of behind the scenes tours of the 2019 Sydney Royal Easter Show including the Grand Parade, District Exhibits, Poultry, Pigs, Sheep, Horse, Cattle and more!  Come down to the Amphitheatre from 2pm today to catch the 2019 the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW's Rural Achiever Presentations and The Land Sydney Royal Easter Show Showgirl Competition announcement. A special shout out to fellow This is Aus Ag founder and NFF 2030 Leader Rayali Banerjee, fellow ABC Heywire Trailblazer, representing Forbes Show, Sally Downie, and fellow 2016 Rural Achiever, representing Coonamble Show Society, Emily Eyan. Good luck to all the Rural Achievers and Showgirls today!  Ever wondered about the future of protein? How will we feed a growing population who are increasingly seeking protein in their diet?? At this morning's Agrichats presented by the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW’s Youth Group we are talking all things the Future of Protein from 10:30am. From red meat to insects, plant-based proteins to alternative cell-based proteins (or lab-meat) it's all on the table with our expert panel. For those not at the Sydney Royal Easter Show you can follow along online using #agrichats.  It's Show Time! The Sydney Royal Easter Show officially starts today - and you'll find us in the cattle ring. Did you know the feature breed this year is the Angus? And if you're heading to this year's show, be sure to go along the Animal Walk and visit all the animals that come to the show!  |
