It's two months until National Ag Day!
And this week, together with the Archibull Prize and Career Harvest, we launched the National AgDay Careers Competition! We created 10 STEM Agricultural Careers LEGO Characters (just like our ag teacher here) for students to use as part of the competition. Or they can create their own!
We're really excited about this competition that aims to showcase the diversity of careers in our agricultural industry. Students are asked to identify their interests and the subjects they excel at, research pathways they might take to achieve their agricultural dream and write a day-in-the-life story of their chose career. And there's an iPad mini up for grabs for the winning entries! We can't wait to see the entries!!
You can find all the details about the competition here: http://archibullprize.com.au/careers/index.html
The last week has been an incredible week as we participated in the National Farmers' Federation's Talking 2030 Emerging Leaders Program facilitated by the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation. The program was held at Cuppacumbalong Homestead in Tharwa near Canberra where we completed many leadership and team building challenges through experiential learning.
We spent the week alongside seven amazing leaders from around Australia - all passionate about driving our agricultural industry forward and sharing the story of food and fibre production. We can't wait to tell you more about these incredible people!
Also - the LEGO Farmer turned four on Thursday! What fun we've had the last four years!!
