The next stop on the Nuffield Australia Global Focus Program was southern India around Madurai. It has been amazing to explore their hyper-local food system from farm to market, immerse in their culture, meet the most beautiful people, and dine on delicious, fragrant food.

Singapore imports over 90% of their food from other countries right around the world. The city-state has identified a plan to increase their own food production to 30% by 2030. It's been super interesting to explore their agri-food sector over the last few days as part of the Nuffield Australia Global Focus Program.  It's World Bee Day and there's a real buzz about the role bees and other pollinators (and beekeepers) have in producing our food!  From little things, big things grow... germinating clover.  |
